Bevar Christiania!

Posted by Colin Fahy

Though I had been there many a time already. Our class had a trip to Christiania, where we recieved a guided tour from an old hippie.
No cameras are allowed on pusher street. But I took many pictures of the surrounding area, and the rest of Christiania.
 The Entrance

Typical Christiania truck.

The stairs leading up to the museuem/art gallery place.

These are all from said museum/art gallery place.

The map of Christiania. All the dark green colorful looking place is Christiania.

We continued our tour. This guy was chilling in their huge warehouse. Where you can come to buy such items as pieces of wood and used toilets.

I have no idea what these things are. But I loved them.

Someone's yard.

A playground?

Another one of those little huts. Possibly used to be 'waste' disposal rooms?

This is the house the traveling German architects lived in.

Complete with dinosaur hanging out on the roof.

And dragon chimney.

:-)

Some gorgeous art mid-production.

This place is too happy.

The free room. Take what you want. Give what you don't.

Awesome metal shop. This is just one of the amazing things those hot welders made.

On the way home, Lilli and I picked up a pizza. Bueno!

Dansk kartofler. Their like normal potatoes. Except a lot dirtier, the skins just fall right off. And mine came with a free rock.

Flips. These were actually kind of gross. Peanut flavored cheetos more or less.

My last purchase before the trip to Berlin. I'll have to wait 'til I can drink you!
